MORE parts updates!

So i got unlucky with the box 2 of 2, it got caught in customs and i've got a bill for $250 for GST to pay

Boooo!

They're charging me GST on the entire order too, rather than just the box they got.

Double boo!

Canley update

So after sending them another email i finally received a response from Canley's. Apparently box 2 of 2 is over sized and is still at the international depot. Its got the valance and bumpers so its probably a really odd size.

The guys at Canley's seem nice, i just wish they were a little more forthcoming with information.

 From what understand it contains the majority of my order, the only things on back order are the headlamp kit, brake discs and the rear seal between the deck and the roof. All the other big bits, i.e the valance, bumpers door repair sections, headlining etc, are coming in this shipment, Exciting!

 I guess this means i now how no excuses not to get it done :)

 So I'm thinking i better put a compressor and spray gun on the top of my list :)

Parts

So i unpacked the box and checked whats actually turned up



Like i thought most (almost all) of the brake and clutch stuff is here, rear trunnions, 90% of the weather seals (rear windshield, windows, quarter lights, boot seal, door seals etc) fuel lines, bolt kit for the suspension and the rebuilt kit for the gearbox linkage.

None of the stuff i was really looking forward to is there and still no word from Canley's. I'd have thought they got the email Monday evening my time (Monday Morning in the UK) so i would have hoped for a "Hmmm weird, we'll look into it" email on Tuesday, or this morning at least, but still nothing. If i dont hear from them over night i might have to give them a call.

Canley Classics ... Hmmmm

Back in mid February i put my canleys order in... I'm lucky i'm in no real rush.

So anyways, i've been waiting, and waiting, and waiting with pretty much no response from the guys at canleys unless i happen to get around to poking them.

Finally SOMETHING arrived.

Unfortunately its labelled 1 of 2, and there doesnt appear to be a 2 of 2.

Dropped them a line to see if there was a 2 of 2, (the courier company in NZ seems to think there wasn't) So heres hoping its just stuck in customs or something

Quite a bit of stuff in there, read window seals, door seals, boot seals, few brake and clutch components, including the new caliper pistons,  fuel lines and the front suspension bolt kit.

Still waiting on all the panels, the brake discs  Hopefully they're in this infamous box 2 of 2.

They have good prices, the parts look great and seem like nice blokes and all, but man! Someone needs to give them a couple of pointers on communicating to their customers, just basic things like "your shipping is going to be $xxx.xx", "Sorry, theres been a delay", "Hi, we received your order"

Maybe my expectations are too high.
